If the thought of family photos immediately has you wondering whether your kids will cooperate, what everyone should wear, or if your family is somehow supposed to know what to do in front of the camera, you’re definitely not alone.

The good news?
You don’t need to know what you’re doing. That’s my job.
Family photos don’t have to feel stiff.
My family sessions are relaxed, fun, and focused on capturing your family as you actually are.
Of course we’ll grab those everyone-looking-at-the-camera photos for Grandma, but some of my favorite images usually happen in between. The belly laughs. Tiny hands wrapped around yours. Kids being completely themselves. The way your little one still fits perfectly on your hip.
I’ll guide you through the entire session with plenty of movement, simple prompts, games, snuggles, and breaks when we need them.
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
This is probably one of the biggest worries parents have before their session.
Please don’t stress about it!
Kids don’t need to sit perfectly still or smile at the camera for an hour. In fact, I don’t expect them to. Giving them room to play, explore, and warm up to me usually creates much more natural images anyway.
If someone needs a snack, a minute with Mom, or a little reset, we’ll take one.
What should we wear?
You don’t have to show up in perfectly matching outfits — and I’d actually prefer you didn’t!
Instead, choose colors and textures that coordinate while still letting everyone look like themselves. Neutrals, earthy tones, and rich colors photograph beautifully, especially outdoors here in Central Ohio.
Clients also have access to my client closet with options for women, men, kids, and babies if you need a little extra help pulling everything together.
Mostly, just come ready to love on your people.
You don’t need perfect kids, perfect outfits, or a family who knows exactly what to do in front of a camera.
Come as you are.
